Jewel Burks Solomon is a servant leader committed to being a forceful disruptor of ineffective, exclusive systems, with a goal of replacing them with ecosystems that are both inclusive and diverse. She leverages her extensive experience in the tech industry, a collaborative decision-making model, and talent for building high-performance teams to create impactful change.

Driven by her faith, Jewel’s passion for leveling the playing field for Black founders was born from her own corporate experience. Currently the Managing Partner at Collab Capital, an early-stage venture capital fund she launched to close the funding gap for Black entrepreneurs, Jewel was the former Head of Google for Startups US, where she led initiatives that deployed over $30M in non-dilutive capital to Black and Latino-led businesses since 2020. Prior to leading a venture capital fund, and heading startups, she was the Founder/CEO of a computer visualization company called Partpic, which was acquired by Amazon in 2016.

A proud alumni of Howard University, a historically Black college and university located in Washington, DC, Jewel resides in Atlanta, Georgia with husband and son.

At the close of 2020 Jewel Burks Solomon and co-owners Tracey Pickett and Dr. LaKeysha Hallmon purchased a mixed use property in the heart of the Castleberry Hills - a historic neighborhood outside of Atlanta, Georgia. The 8,000 sq. ft two-story loft is a hub for creatives, collaboration and community, hosting weddings, sponsored events, and marketspace for up-and-coming entrepreneurs.
